It provides outstanding insurance services to its customers in approximately 9 countries—including Hungary—while creating more than 30,000 jobs. In Hungary, it has been serving Hungarian families and small and medium-sized enterprises for 18 years with products such as home, life, accident, travel, and condominium insurance, as well as CASCO, KGFB, product warranty, and investment/savings products. In the first half of 2008, the company acquired OTP Garancia Insurance Co., Ltd., and further acquisitions were made in Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovakia.
PREREQUISITES AND CONDITIONS FOR A SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION
The implementation of the electronic solution was a new initiative that we had to roll out at Groupama during a very busy period (January 2021). The professional expertise and flexibility of the project participants made the project’s success possible.
RESULTS AND EXPERIENCES
From the employer’s perspective, the HR team members were very grateful, as it relieved them of a significant administrative burden and made the process much simpler. Employees, meanwhile, welcomed this forward-looking improvement: they were pleased that this year we handled the issuance of certificates and the submission of declarations in a paperless, convenient, 21st-century way.
PLANNED...
Our long-term goal is to create all documents generated before, during, and after employment electronically, thereby achieving a paperless operation.
INCREASING EFFICIENCY WITH PIRAMIS™
All we had to do was send our colleagues an email announcing the start of the declaration process and providing the key details; they were then able to submit their declarations by logging into the web interface. HR staff approved the submitted forms or, if necessary, rejected them with an explanation, allowing employees to correct them accordingly. This concluded the process, saving a great deal of time and effort in printing, signing, data entry, and filing.
